Misc Xena Trivia #1

campbell.jpgFor those who haven't seen it yet, this is my main claim to fame in the Xena-verse. It's so gross... but funny!

Misc. Xena Trivia #1: Just 1 minute before filming my first scene in 'Soul Possession', an ink pen exploded ...turning my hands blue!

Misc. Xena Trivia #2: The reason the drool scene in ISAIH is so funny is that I'm not acting. ...I'm actually gagging!

Misc. Xena Trivia #3: Our first take of the Drool scene; Renee was actually drooling the goop from her mouth onto my face! Take 2, a spoon.

Misc. Xena Trivia #4: When Josh Becker yelled "CUT!" after the first take of the drool scene from ISAIH, the crew burst out laughing!

Misc. Xena Trivia #5: There is a missing scene from 'Vanishing Act' where Xena gives me 'the pinch' to extract information. ...Ouch!!!

More to come!

Batons and Baquettes - Auckland City Harbour News

Campbell's New Documentary Batons and Baquettes - Auckland City Harbour News

It was the absurd and violent conclusion to a tumultuous piece of New Zealand history.

Yet many people today have little, if any, knowledge of the infamous clown bashing at the end of the 1981 Springbok tour.

It's a moment in time which has bewitched filmmaker Cam Cooley and he is determined to get it on film. He is working on a documentary called Batons and Baguettes which follows the events that unfolded on September 12, 1981.

Eight university students dressed as clowns, bunny rabbits and a bumblebee appeared during one of the last protests of the controversial rugby tour. They carried baguettes and offered lollies to police officers, adding humour to an otherwise tense situation.

The day ended with three of them being savagely beaten by Red Squad riot police on Dominion Rd in Mt Eden after a riot broke out on neighbouring Onslow Rd. Those injured took civil action against the police and received a $10,000 payout in 1984. None of the officers involved in the beating were identified.

If Mr Cooley can gather the funding, he hopes to have the project completed by next year - the 30th anniversary of the tour.

Welcome To My Site

Welcome to the launching of my official website! Many thanks to MaryD who is my webmaster and who will keep everyone updated. I am immensely humbled by her generosity and I hope to return the kindness by sharing as many of my activities as possible in the months and years to come.

MaryD has suggested that I attend the final Xena Convention in L.A. this coming January. I will make every effort to attend as I have fully recovered from the infamous drool scene (Season 4) and feel I am ready to re-enter society and mingle with fans of the show.

Would also like to ask you all to come back often as there will be news about upcoming events and shows. Stay tuned for that!

So, thus begins a new adventure for me! Feel free to message me on Twitter if you want to say 'Hi'. I'll genuinely make every effort to reply.

Take care!

Campbell

A Little About Me!

When I reached the age of eighteen, I had no idea what I was going to do with my life. I was basically interested in too many things! When I attended University, I gravitated towards theatre; eventually earning a BFA in acting and directing. In my early thirties I began working in film and television. In addition to doing regular voice work, I am also currently producing and directing several film projects. In my private time I enjoy traveling, cooking for my girlfriend, science fiction films and walking my neighbor's dogs. ...

Ta dah!

Me in a nutshell~
